**Job Title**: Western Dance Teacher

**Location**: Vishwajyot High School, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai

**Position Type**: Full-Time

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging dance lessons in various western dance forms (e.g., Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Funk, etc.)
- Design a progressive curriculum aligned with the developmental needs of middle school students.
- Choreograph group and solo performances for annual day, inter-school competitions, assemblies, and special events.
- Foster creativity, teamwork, and discipline among students.
- Identify and nurture individual student talent and provide mentorship.
- Integrate music, storytelling, and visual arts where appropriate to enrich the dance experience.
- Collaborate with other faculty members for cross-disciplinary projects.
- Ensure student safety and create a respectful, inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain records of student participation, progress, and achievements.
- Attend staff meetings, school events, and professional development workshops as required.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts, Dance, or a related field. (Diploma in Dance from a recognized institute also considered.)
- Formal training in at least one western dance style; versatility in multiple forms is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching or professional performance experience (school teaching experience preferred).
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to connect with middle school students and foster a positive learning environment.
- Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative and creative school culture.

**Preferred Qualities**:

- Passion for teaching and mentoring young learners.
- Innovative in designing lessons and choreography.
- Up-to-date with current trends in western dance and youth culture.
- Willingness to take initiative and contribute to the school's cultural and performing arts programs.
