**Position: Lock Desk Specialist**

**Position Status: Full Time**

**Reports to: Operations Manager**

**Location: Remote**

**Summary**:
The Lock Desk Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Lock Desk Department by managing and facilitating the lock process. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of rate locks, maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process rate lock, lock extensions, and lock change requests
- Provide a Rate lock confirmation according to the Loan program and the Underwriting Approval
- Cancel the Rate locks if the loan is withdrawn by the borrower
- Extend the lock period with and without cost involved based on the stage of the loan
- Provide changes to the current lock confirmation if there are any changes in loan terms
- Updating the Investor Selling Price
- Print the Lock confirmation document and notify all parties involved in the transaction

**Qualifications and Professional Experience**:

- Graduates in any discipline
- Knowledge of US Residential Mortgage - Primary and Secondary Market. Working knowledge of (FHA, VA, Conventional, TRID)
- Minimum of 4 Yrs experience with hands on knowledge & experience of lending regulations & legal guidelines for conventional, conforming, non-conforming, and government loan programs
- Exposure to Encompass Loan Origination System is a must.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and turnaround times.

Customer service orient & strong verbal & written communication skills
