**JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**: The HVAC Supervisor supervises the activities of a skilled workforce including in-house and contract labor in the operation of the high-pressure boiler plants and large centrifugal chillers, advises Mechanical Services Administration concerning budget, equipment acquisition and performance, and failure analyses based on sound technical skill and empirical data. This position also assumes responsibility for personnel actions including employment, performance evaluations, training, and discipline.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Plans and reviews the activities of the in-house and contract workforce in the maintenance and repair of building mechanical systems/equipment.
- Supervises all HVAC staff.
- Diagnosises equipment trouble, improves equipment performance, performs equipment failure analysis, chooses between maintenance and purchasing options, and sources tool equipment and supplies.
- Monitors and maintains all DDC control systems associated with the power plants.
- Completes employee disciplinary actions, hires and promotes employees, provides training and development of employees, and prepares work schedules.
- Schedules annual/semi-annual inspections of all equipment.
- Establishes safety training with campus safety officers.
- Reviews construction documents prepared by Facilities Planning and outside architects.
- Ensures the university complies with regulator regulations and inspections.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Pay: ₹12,773.25 - ₹18,500.00 per month
