**Job Title**: Finance Associate - US Finance & Accounting

**Location**: Kolkata, India

**Mode**:Hybrid (5 days working)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with **US GAAP**.
- Perform general accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare reports for management on key financial metrics and performance analysis.
- Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of federal and state tax returns, along with other statutory filings.
- Collaborate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and ensure their implementation within the company’s financial processes.
- Assist in cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Support ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as needed.

**Key Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, preferably from Tier 1 college.
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably with a focus on **US GAAP**. Freshers can also apply.
- **Certification in US accounting** (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of **US accounting regulations and tax compliance**.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.).
- Strong **analytical skills** and attention to detail.
- Excellent **communication skills**—both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience working in a finance role for a US-based company or supporting US clients.
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Experience in handling financial audits and preparing audit documentation.
- Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
