We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our organization s SQL Server databases. As an MS SQL DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our SQL Server databases, while also supporting development and operations teams in database-related tasks. You will work closely with other IT professionals to implement best practices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the reliability and integrity of our database systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Database Administration**: Manage and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- **Performance Optimization**: Monitor database performance and proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, tuning queries, indexes, and server configurations to optimize performance and ensure scalability.
- **High Availability and Disaster Recovery**: Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups, database mirroring, and log shipping, to ensure business continuity and data protection.
- **Security Management**: Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
- **Backup and Recovery**: Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies, including full, differential, and transaction log backups, and perform regular backup testing and validation to ensure data integrity and recoverability.
- **Capacity Planning**: Monitor database growth trends and perform capacity planning to ensure adequate storage, memory, and processing resources are available to support current and future database needs.
- **Documentation and Training**: Maintain up-to-date documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices, and provide training and support to development and operations teams on database-related topics.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of [X] years of experience as an MS SQL Server Database Administrator, with a strong understanding of database administration principles, best practices, and methodologies.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, and security management.
- **Database Performance Tuning**: Experience optimizing SQL queries, indexes, and server configurations to improve database performance and scalability.
- **High Availability Solutions**: Hands-on experience with SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups, database mirroring, and log shipping.
- **Security Expertise**: Knowledge of database security concepts and best practices, including user access controls, encryption, auditing, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- **Problem-Solving Abilities**: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- **Team Collaboration**: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with the ability to collaborate with other IT professionals to achieve common goals.
