The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking an associate for entry level position; provide support to the sourcing function. Ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels. Monitor inventory requests, production schedules and purchase requisitions to coordinate purchasing activities for current/anticipated demand of materials and services. Collect suppliers’ quotations and examines bids. Identify and select suppliers that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, stability, and flexibility to work in any shift preferred.- Proficiency in Life Science product range with respective unit of measures.- Organizational and computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access, and format within MS Word and Excel preferred.- A clear ability to manage customer interactions professionally by demonstrating excellent listening and organizational skills, and by using probing questions and reflective language to engage customers and build trust.- Ability to work independently and successfully manage time and regional responsibilities.- Ability to handle difficult situations effectively.- Highly customer focused as well as proactive and team focused.- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to comfortably interact with various internal stakeholders (Service centers and local teams).- High sense of responsibility and ownership.- Eager to learn and consistently improve their knowledge.- A natural desire to share knowledge and work with the wider VWR Network.- Strive for process excellence.- Able to work in multi-culture and multi-company environments.- Commits to agreed actions on agreed timelines with customers

How you will thrive and create an impact- Troubleshoot and Monitor requisition flow.- Monitoring performance of internal teams based on contractual KPIs and SLAs.- Customer communication and Relationship Management: Drive customer satisfaction by building trust and developing strong relationships.- Source product at supplier if required.- Internal communication.- Support and escalation of Product Master Data and pricing.- Targets: Meet/exceed regional SLA based on contractual agreement.- Planning/Forecasting: Plan, forecast and achieve objectives and Key Performance Indicators.- Proactively seeking ways to improve efficiency: Pro-active participation in technical enhancement, developing strategies to constantly improve team performance.- Performs other duties as assigned.
