Should have effective communication skills dealing with students, parents, teachers, and should be organized, energetic and self-directed.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Actively seeking professional development through trainings/ workshops/ seminars/ book reading/ research etc.
- Ensure that the in-house training and training given in IB workshops must be effectively used to mentor and groom the students
- Exhibiting as a role model and demonstrating the IB learner’s profile consistently
- Identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how the learners will be taught and assessed
- Setting tasks which challenge students and ensure high levels of interest
- Using a variety of teaching methods to match approach to content, structure information, present a set of key ideas and use appropriate vocabulary
- Make use of effective questioning, listen carefully to students and give attention to errors
- Making effective use of assessment and ensure the coverage of IB/IGCSE programme
- Ensuring effective teaching and best use of available time with students
- Providing clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge
- Assessing students as thinkers with their own theories
- Encouraging students for open-ended inquiry
- Empowering students and make them responsible for their actions
- Pursuing pragmatic teaching and learning and use real life situations / examples
- Encouraging pupils to think and talk about their learning, develop self-control and independence, concentrate and persevere, and listen attentively
