**Job Purpose**

To manage and ensure smooth operations of the press shop, focusing on productivity, quality, safety, and on-time delivery of pressed components. Responsible for coordinating manpower, machines, and materials to meet production targets

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Production Management

Execute daily production plans to meet delivery and quality targets.

Monitor machine utilization and production output.

Reduce downtime and improve press cycle times.

Maintain accurate daily production reports.

2. Tool & Die Handling

Ensure proper handling, setting, and maintenance of dies.

Coordinate with the toolroom for timely tool repairs or changes.

3. Manpower Handling

Allocate manpower shifts and ensure optimal workforce utilization.

Train operators on safe and efficient machine handling.

4. Quality Assurance

Ensure that production meets quality standards and specifications.

Conduct in-process inspections and coordinate with QA for audits.

Address and resolve any quality issues with immediate countermeasures.

5. Machine Maintenance Coordination

Coordinate with maintenance for routine and breakdown maintenance.

Conduct basic troubleshooting for minor machine issues.

6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to safety standards in the press shop.

Promote 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing practices.

7. Inventory & Material Handling

Monitor raw material availability and consumption.

Coordinate with stores and planning for timely material issuance.

**Key Skills & Competencies**:
Knowledge of mechanical presses (hydraulic/pneumatic/manual)

Sheet metal process knowledge

Tool & die setting experience

Production planning and reporting

Leadership and team management

Working knowledge of ERP systems

Strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement

**Educational Qualifications**: Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
