Responsible for IP protection, including providing searches and opinions; prosecution, registration and renewal of trademarks.
- Drafting and recording assignment or transmission of ownership and licensed users.
- Advise clients on all aspects of IP such as brand clearance, brand protection and enforcement, IP aspects of new ventures.
- Initiate and handle oppositions, reviews, rectifications and cancellations, before the Trade Marks Registry.
- Handle IP due diligence.
- Provide legal opinions on passing off and infringement of trademarks.
- Handle IP infringement issues, including online takedowns, drafting and sending or responding to cease-and-desist letters, and preparing settlement agreements.
- should have good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently as well as in team, taking initiative and being detail oriented.
