**Position Title**: Grade 1 Mother Teacher

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Delivery**:

- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for Grade 1 students.
- **Mathematics** (basic operations, shapes, numbers, patterns)
- **Science** (exploration of the natural world, basic experiments)
- **Social Studies** (community, traditions, simple geography)
- Ensure the use of creative teaching techniques to make learning fun and interactive.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Establish a positive and nurturing classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
- Implement and maintain effective classroom routines and structures.
- Address student behavioral challenges with patience, understanding, and appropriate interventions.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Regularly assess students' academic progress using both formal and informal methods.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic achievements and areas of improvement.
- Use assessments to inform lesson planning and tailor instruction to meet individual student needs.
- **Parent and Teacher Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with parents about students' academic progress, behavior, and overall development.
- Collaborate with other teachers, counselors, and administrators to ensure students' well-being and academic success.
- **Social and Emotional Development**:

- Promote the development of social skills and emotional intelligence, helping students learn to collaborate, share, and manage conflicts.
- Foster a sense of responsibility and self-discipline in students.
- Encourage positive reinforcement and reward systems for good behavior and achievements.
- **Professional Development**:

- Participate in school events, workshops, and training sessions to improve teaching methods and stay up-to-date with educational trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues and share best practices for teaching and classroom management.
- **Extra-curricular Activities** (Optional):

- Contribute to or lead extracurricular activities, such as clubs or field trips, to enhance students' learning experiences.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Primary Education preferred).
- **Certifications**: Valid teaching certification (if applicable in the region).
- **Experience**: Previous teaching experience in early childhood education or primary school is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching young children.
- Knowledge of early literacy and numeracy development.
- Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position with standard school hours.
- Occasional extra hours for parent-teacher meetings or school events.
