Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support
- Provide first-level help desk support for IT-related issues.
2. System Administration
- Monitor and maintain hospital networks for reliability and uptime.
3. Data Management
- Maintain and secure databases that store patient records.
- Implement and manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
4. Cybersecurity
- Develop and enforce IT security policies to protect sensitive data.
- Monitor for security threats and respond to incidents as needed.
5. System Implementation and Integration
- Assist in the implementation of new IT systems and upgrades.
- Ensure seamless integration of software and hardware systems.
6. Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure IT systems comply with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.
- Maintain documentation of IT processes, configurations, and user manuals.
7. Vendor Management
- Collaborate with third-party vendors for software and support services.
- Assist in evaluating and negotiating contracts with IT service providers.
8. Monitoring and Reporting
- Regularly assess system performance and generate management reports.
- Track and analyze IT metrics for informed decision-making.
9. Research and Development
- Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their potential impact.
- Propose and pilot new technologies to enhance patient care and efficiency.
10. Collaboration
- Work closely with clinical and administrative departments to understand IT needs.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership during IT crises to ensure swift resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience in IT support, system administration, or cybersecurity preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
