Job Overview:
As a CMM Operator at Sansera Engineering, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. Your primary responsibility will be operating and maintaining the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure product quality and compliance with specified requirements. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to evaluate and measure components against precise specifications, guaranteeing precision and consistency.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Operate and maintain the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment, including set-up, calibration, programming, and regular maintenance.

2. Analyze engineering blueprints, product specifications, and technical drawings to understand the required measurements and inspection methods.

3. Conduct routine inspections of machined components using CMM software and equipment, ensuring accurate dimensional measurements.

4. Analyze and interpret CMM inspection data to identify any deviations or noncompliance with specified requirements.

5. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve any dimensional concerns, offering technical expertise and recommendations.

6. Generate detailed reports documenting inspection findings, including measurements, charts, and statistical data.

7. Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implement process optimizations to enhance efficiency and quality.

8. Follow established safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment and the well-being of all team members.

9. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to CMM operation techniques, software, and equipment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in engineering or related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with CMM software, ideally Zeiss Calypso or similar.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and understanding technical drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis and inspection methodologies.
- Results-driven attitude with a commitment to meeting quality standards and deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
