**Role Summary**

To plan and deliver high-quality Biology instruction in accordance with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum (MYP and/or DP), focusing on inquiry-based, interdisciplinary, and student-centered learning. The teacher is expected to facilitate scientific thinking, ethical understanding, and international-mindedness among learners.

**Key Responsibilities**1. **Curriculum Planning & Delivery**
- Plan and teach Biology lessons based on the IB MYP or DP framework using inquiry-based approaches.
- Design units aligned with IB standards, including ATL skills, Global Contexts, and Key/Related Concepts.
- Integrate TOK (Theory of Knowledge), CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service), and international-mindedness where appropriate.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles.

2. **Assessment & Evaluation**
- Maintain accurate assessment records and report progress using IB reporting formats.
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments including the Individual Investigation (IA) and DP exams.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to support student growth.

3. **IB Programme Contributions**
- Guide and supervise students in their Extended Essay (EE) in Biology (DP level).
- Collaborate with the IB Coordinator to ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment.
- Participate in standardization, moderation, and reflective curriculum reviews.
- Contribute to IB documentation such as unit planners, ATL tracking, and reflection journals.

4. **Laboratory & Inquiry Support**
- Manage and supervise scientific investigations in the lab with attention to safety, ethics, and skill development.
- Ensure the appropriate use, maintenance, and procurement of lab resources and equipment.

5. **Professional Development & Collaboration**
- Attend IB professional development workshops as required by the IB and the school.
- Stay updated with current IB Biology practices, scientific research, and teaching strategies.

6. **Pastoral & Co-curricular Involvement**
- Mentor students in their academic and personal development as part of the IB Learner Profile.
- Contribute to school events, field trips, science fairs, MUN, and extracurricular activities.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Master’s Degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or related discipline from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).
- IB-certified training (Category 1/2 workshop in DP Biology or MYP Sciences preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience in an IB World School or equivalent international curriculum.

- Competence in using digital tools and learning management systems (e.g., ManageBac, Google Workspace).

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
