Job Description - Product Owner

This position works closely with the Product Manager to define and write product features to be implemented by the Scrum Team. The Product Owner is responsible to assist in the definition of high-value products and enhancements to Kaplan’s product portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities-
- Support the product manager in the development of product vision, goals, themes, and features. This translates into a product roadmap and long-term product strategy and feature development-
- Participate in daily scrum ceremonies, leading refinement sessions, and engaging with your Engineering team, guiding direction and focus-
- Support the development of a prioritized Product Backlog, including the development of user stories, acceptance criteria and scenarios for your Product Engineering Team to develop working software from.Minimum Qualifications-
- Bachelor Degree with a focus in Business or Computer Science-
- 2-+ years of experience as an Associate Product Owner or Product Owner-
- Strong understanding of Agile Values and Scrum Methodology, Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)Management Tools: Asana, LucidCharts-
- Tracking Tool: JIRA-
- General understanding of Software Development practices and/or a willingness to learn-
- Critical thinking, presentation, communication (both written and verbal), problem-solving, ability to juggle multiple initiatives at the same time-
- Collaborative, approachable, good listener, resourceful-
- Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office-
