**Job Summary**
A trainee working in Production plays a key role in assembling vehicles on the line by following well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role offers hands-on exposure to advanced manufacturing processes and demands precision, attention to detail, and consistency. Trainees develop strong problem-solving skills, discipline, and the ability to work with focus in a dynamic shop-floor environment, while contributing directly to meeting production targets and upholding the highest quality standards.
**Job Role & Responsibilities**:
- Help in the production process, making sure that machines and equipment run smoothly and efficiently
- Help test the functionality of parts and products and provide feedback on any issues
- Suggest ways to make production more efficient and reduce costs
- Always follow safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment
**Competency Required**:
**Functional**
- Understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing techniques. Knowledge of tools like torque wrenches, machinery, and equipment used in the production process
- Ability to diagnose issues and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
- Ability to maintain quality at every stage of production
- Familiarity with process optimization techniques to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance output quality
- Ability to maintain accurate records of processes, tests, and engineering documents.
- Learn and subsequently perform activities, initially under supervision, at different stages of the assembly process according to given SOPs.
- Train with the objective of being able to work at multiple stations (multiskilling) and across critical stages.
- Learn and follow 5S and Kaizen practices.
- Learn to achieve takt time through repetition and feedback.
- Checking for visual or fitment defects and follow existing poka yoke mechanisms

- Eligible branches: Mechanical and allied streams, Electrical and allied streams.
