This position will involve planning, designing and tuning new and existing storage and backup implementations in heterogeneous environments in datacenters across the world.

The individual will be part of a team that is responsible for support, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting and also participating in various projects to enhance service and productivity.

**Roles, Skills and Responsibilities**
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in designing, implementing and managing storage and backup environments.
- Understand, plan and manage the installation, configuration and tuning of company's storage and backup infrastructure based on client requirements.
- Provide analysis of the storage environment including tape (physical and virtual) daily and perform necessary actions to avoid deficiencies and interruptions of customer service.
- Analyze daily reports and undertake pro-active measures to avoid outages.
- Collaborate with hardware vendors in case of outages and ensure quick restoration of service along with providing RCAs for the incident.
- Plan and manage COB tests, DR preparedness tests at regular intervals.
- Expert in backup, Disaster Recovery and Storage consulting.
- Expert on configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining and upgrading (including firmware upgrades) SAN / NAS systems from multiple vendors.
- Expert in configuration of storage based data replication, storage mirroring, load balancing, deduplication, snapshots.
- Expert in troubleshooting, fine-tuning of backups and restores from multiple perspectives (OS/Network/Backup).
- Must be able to train and mentor junior resources.
- Must have project management skills and ITIL certification.
- Expert in Change management, incident management and problem management.
- Excellent Communication skills are a must.
- Prepare and review internal technical documentation in the form of an knowledge base
- Prepare and review external documents like SOW, process flow and other non-technical documents
