**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Menu Development**: Design and develop innovative and authentic dessert menus that complement the overall dining experience at Burma Burma. Introduce seasonal and signature desserts that align with the brand's culinary vision.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure that all pastry products are consistently prepared to the highest standards, maintaining quality, flavor, and presentation across all locations.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead, mentor, and train pastry teams at each restaurant location, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance skills and ensure consistency.
- **New Restaurant Openings**: Play a key role in the setup and training for pastry departments in new restaurant locations, ensuring that all pastry operations are launched successfully.
- **Supplier Management**: Collaborate with the procurement team to source high-quality ingredients, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure consistency in the availability of key products.
- **Recipe Standardization**: Develop and maintain standardized recipes for all pastry items, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation across all locations.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**: Ensure that all pastry kitchens operate in compliance with local health and safety regulations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- **Budget Management**: Manage pastry department budgets across locations, controlling food costs, minimizing waste, and maximizing profitability.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the Culinary Director, Head Chefs, and Marketing teams to develop dessert offerings that align with promotional campaigns and seasonal events.
- **Innovation**: Stay updated with global pastry trends and continuously innovate to bring fresh, contemporary ideas to the dessert menus.
**Qualifications**:
- A culinary degree or certification in pastry arts from a recognized institution.
- 10+ years of experience as a Pastry Chef, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple locations or a large-scale pastry operation.
- Proven track record of creating innovative and high-quality desserts in fine dining or premium restaurant settings.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire teams.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in managing budgets, food costs, and supplier relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- A passion for culinary innovation and a deep understanding of global pastry trends.
