**Position Overview**
- The Chemistry Lab Assistant assists the chemistry teacher and students by preparing the laboratory for experiments, managing chemicals and equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining the overall functionality of the lab.
- This role is crucial for providing a safe and organized learning environment for practical chemistry activities.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Prepare and arrange laboratory equipment, chemicals, and specimens needed for chemistry experiments and lessons.
- Support the teacher during chemistry lab activities by helping students with procedures, using equipment, and answering questions related to the experiments.
- Ensure that students follow proper safety procedures when handling chemicals, equipment, and performing experiments. This includes ensuring the proper use of safety equipment such as goggles, gloves, and lab coats.
- Keep track of chemicals, glassware, and other lab supplies. Monitor stock levels and alert the teacher or school administration when supplies need to be reordered.
- Ensure chemicals are stored according to safety regulations and disposed of properly after experiments, following all safety guidelines.
- Regularly clean, check, and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., Bunsen burners, glassware, microscopes). Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to the teacher or maintenance staff.
- After each class or experiment, ensure that the lab is cleaned, organized, and ready for future lessons. This includes washing glassware, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste materials properly.
- Prepare any necessary solutions, mixtures, or chemical reagents required for experiments. Ensure materials are available before each class.
- Support students by explaining basic concepts or helping them with techniques during experiments. Ensure they follow instructions and maintain accuracy in their work.
- Maintain records of inventory, safety checks, and any maintenance performed on lab equipment.

**Required Skills**:

- Proficiency in using and maintaining chemistry lab equipment (e.g., Bunsen burners, balances, pipettes).
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of chemical safety practices.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and assist in multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with equipment or experiments.
- Friendly, approachable attitude toward helping students and staff.

**Experience**
- Previous experience or coursework in a laboratory setting is a plus.
- Ability to work well with students and staff in a school environment.
- Preferred 2-3 years of experience
- Freshers can apply.

**Qualifications**
- B.SC or M.SC in Chemistry
