**Career path**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, install and maintain enterprise databases in the development, staging, and production environment
- Implement database security and maintain periodic upgrades
- Execute database activities such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database issues
- Ensure timely performance tuning and preventative maintenance
- As a contributing member of a globally distributed agile team, collaborate with other team members following scrum practices
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with all stakeholders

**Must-Have Skills**:

- Expertise and experience in advance administration of MySQL and any other relational database administration
- Expertise in database design, SQL programming, performance tuning, and SQL query optimization
- Experience in a distributed environment and clustering
- Ability to communicate and articulate clearly and work collaboratively in an agile team

**Good to Have Skills**:

- Working knowledge on flyway and GIT
- Experience in Agile methodologies and agile engineering practices
- Experience in cloud migration
- Knowledge on MariaDB is a plus
