**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Care**:

- Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to neonates in critical and stable conditions.
- Assess, monitor, and document neonates' physical, neurological, and developmental status regularly.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutrition as prescribed by neonatologists.
- Perform clinical procedures such as intubation, suctioning, IV insertion, and monitoring vital signs.
- Provide neonatal resuscitation and assist in emergency procedures when necessary.
- **Monitoring and Reporting**:

- Continuously monitor neonates' heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and other vital signs.
- Interpret data from monitoring equipment and communicate any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Recognize, assess, and manage potential neonatal complications such as respiratory distress, sepsis, jaundice, and feeding difficulties.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work collaboratively with neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans.
- Participate in daily rounds and provide updates on the neonate's progress.
- Communicate effectively with families to provide emotional support and updates on their infant's condition.
- **Family Support and Education**:

- Provide guidance to parents on neonatal care, including feeding, safe sleep practices, and signs of distress.
- Offer emotional support to parents coping with the stresses of having an infant in the NICU.
- Educate families on discharge planning, home care, and follow-up care requirements.
- **Infection Control and Safety**:

- Ensure adherence to infection control standards and protocols to minimize the risk of hospital-acquired infections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both neonates and staff.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay updated on best practices and current research in neonatal nursing care.
- Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and NICU-specific education programs.
- Maintain licensure and certifications required for NICU nursing.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- NICU-specific training or certification preferred (e.g., Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE certification).
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a NICU or pediatric critical care setting.
- Experience with neonatal resuscitation and advanced neonatal care procedures is a plus.
