The Principal of the College of Nursing will lead, administer, and supervise all academic and administrative functions, aligning with institutional goals, educational standards, and healthcare needs. **Key Responsibilities**
- **Academic Leadership**:
- Develop and implement academic programs, policies, and practices in alignment with Nursing Council guidelines and healthcare industry standards.
- Oversee curriculum planning, faculty development, and ensure the integration of latest nursing practices and technologies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in teaching and learning.
- **Administration & Governance**:
- Supervise day-to-day operations, manage departmental budgets, and oversee faculty recruitment and development.
- Establish and implement policies that support institutional goals and ensure compliance with Nursing Council regulations.
- Develop strategies for enhancing the reputation of the college and maintain strong liaison with affiliated hospitals and healthcare organizations.
- **Quality Assurance & Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with academic and professional accreditation standards, including NAAC, INC (Indian Nursing Council), and State Nursing Council requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments of academic and administrative effectiveness and develop improvement plans based on feedback.
- **Faculty and Staff Development**:
- Guide, mentor, and support faculty and staff in professional development.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and conferences to keep faculty updated on advancements in nursing education and healthcare.
- **Student Engagement & Support**:
- Ensure a supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, and practical skills.
- Engage with students through meetings, feedback sessions, and offer support for academic, career, and personal development needs.
- **Community and Stakeholder Engagement**:
- Build partnerships with local hospitals, healthcare providers, and community organizations to promote student training and job placements.
- Represent the institution in regional, state, and national forums and work towards establishing it as a leading nursing college in Bihar.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- **Educational Qualification**: Master’s Degree in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) from a recognized institution. A Ph.D. in Nursing or relevant field is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of **10 years of teaching experience** in nursing education, with at least **5 years in a leadership role** (Vice Principal or Principal).
