**Position Title**: Bouncer / Security Guard
**Department**: Security
**Reports To**: Security Supervisor / Manager

**Job Summary**

The Bouncer ensures the safety and security of patrons, staff, and the premises at a designated venue. This role involves monitoring entry and exit points, diffusing conflicts, and maintaining a safe environment to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Access Control**:

- Verify identification to ensure all patrons meet age requirements.
- Deny entry to individuals who appear intoxicated or pose a potential threat.
- Enforce dress code and venue-specific rules at entry points.
- **Safety and Security**:

- Patrol the venue to monitor activities and ensure a secure environment.
- Identify and address any suspicious or disruptive behavior.
- Intervene in conflicts or altercations to prevent escalation.
- **Conflict Resolution**:

- De-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally.
- Escort unruly individuals out of the premises when necessary.
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
- **Customer Service**:

- Assist patrons with directions, venue information, or resolving concerns.
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor.
- **Reporting**:

- Document incidents, altercations, or rule violations in an incident log.
- Report any safety hazards, broken equipment, or other security concerns to management.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Experience**: Previous experience in security, crowd control, or related roles preferred.
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to stand for long periods, manage physical confrontations, and handle demanding shifts.
- **Skills**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving ability.
- Attention to detail and situational awareness.
- **Certifications**:

- Security license (if required by local law).
- First aid and CPR certification (preferred).

**Work Environment**
- Nightclub, bar, or event venue setting.
- May involve late-night or weekend shifts.
- Physically demanding role, often requiring quick response to emergencies.
