**Job Title**:Research Associate, Economics

**Location**:India (Base location: Mumbai)

- You will be part of the German Economics team and will work on tracking various economies, analysis of macro-economic indicators and key drivers of the economy; creation and maintenance of databases; work on regular DB periodical research reports and adhoc requests. _

**Your key responsibilities**
- Tracking all the major economic indicators of a key country/region and analyzing their possible impact on financial markets.
- Understanding the various inter-linkages between the macro indicators internal to the country as well as external.
- Having a very good knowledge of databases, handle a lot of data, create charts and use various statistical methods of forecasting the same.
- Write reports, commentaries, create PowerPoint based on the analysis.
- Train and mentor junior team members on various aspects of economic research and ability to work across teams.
- Handle ad hoc research requests as per client requirements

**Your skills and experience**
- Prior experience of pure macro-economic research having strong domain capabilities
- Eye for detail and ability to identify and solve issues effectively and on time
- Advanced Excel, VBA skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of independent thinking and approach
- Knowledge of database tools - Haver, Datastream, Reuters, Bloomberg and other financial databases; various central bank and statistical websites

Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in economics with minimum 2 years of relevant experience
