RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

BITS School of Management (BITSoM) is a new-age global business school under the aegis of BITS Pilani. Located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, BITSoM is inspired by the spirit of excellence and entrepreneurial culture that BITS Pilani has nurtured over five decades. BITSoM wants to recruit promising young researchers. We seek applications from motivated individuals with a strong academic background to work as Research Associate at BITSoM.

One RA position is available with faculty at BITSoM. Their academic/research interests include economics, finance, marketing and strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The candidate will assist faculty in data collection (primary both lab and field-level; & secondary) that includes quantitative and qualitative data to support their ongoing research work.
  • The candidate will help with data scraping, data cleaning, interpreting and creating reports to suit faculty research requirements.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters Degrees in Statistics/Finance/Economics/Operations/Marketing or B.A/B.S./BBA in the same fields with experience in data analysis.
  • Hands-on expertise in Excel (including advanced Excel techniques).
  • Experience in programming software such as STATA, R, or Python.
  • Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Candidates with a demonstrated interest in any of these academic areas and an ability to pursue independent academic or industry-oriented research preferred.
