Thermal Power Plant are crucial for maintaining the smooth operation and safety of the plant Here’s an overview of their duties:
**1 Monitoring and Control of Plant Operations**:
Operate and monitor the Distributed Control System (DCS) from the control room, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems

Keep track of critical parameters such as pressure, temperature, and flow rates for various systems, ensuring they remain within safe operating limits

Respond to alarms, identify abnormal conditions, and take corrective action to prevent unsafe conditions

**2 Coordination with Field Operators**:
Communicate regularly with field operators who perform inspections and manual adjustments on equipment Desk operators rely on field feedback to adjust controls from the desk

Ensure coordination during start-up, shutdown, or emergency conditions to avoid operational disruptions

**3 Start-up and Shutdown Procedures**:
Execute start-up and shutdown sequences for boilers, turbines, and other plant systems in a controlled manner as per standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Follow procedures for normal and emergency shutdowns, ensuring all systems are safely deactivated or restarted

**4 Data Logging and Reporting**:
Maintain logs of operational data, including equipment status, alarms, and any maintenance or operational changes made during the shift

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant performance, highlighting any anomalies or deviations from standard operation

**5 Safety and Emergency Handling**:
Ensure adherence to safety protocols during routine operations and emergency situations

Initiate emergency response procedures such as load shedding, emergency shutdowns, or equipment isolation when necessary

**6 Troubleshooting and Diagnostics**:
Analyze system performance and diagnose problems based on real-time data and alarms

Collaborate with maintenance teams to identify and address issues related to mechanical or electrical systems

**7 Efficiency Optimization**:
Continuously monitor and optimize the efficiency of the power plant’s operations, focusing on fuel consumption, emissions control, and energy output

Adjust control parameters to maximize thermal efficiency and minimize fuel usage

**8 Compliance and Regulatory Reporting**:
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, especially in terms of emissions, waste heat management, and water usage

Monitor and report on plant emissions, ensuring they stay within regulatory limits

**9 Routine and Predictive Maintenance Support**:
Coordinate with the maintenance team for planned preventive and corrective maintenance activities

Monitor equipment performance trends and provide early warning of potential equipment failures

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
