Job Summary As a SME of the Automation team, the person will be responsible for developing and maintaining Automation Solutions for business operations. Automation SME is responsible for interacting with Global IT, Business and Operations teams to provide high quality automated solutions through SharePoint, Excel/Access VBA, SQL, Xceptor QlickView etc. to the internal clients and meet the agreed and expected service standards. The job role may involve management, coordination or contribution to one, few or all phases of SDLC. Solid understanding of the Investment Banking business and Capital Markets domain knowledge is highly recommended. Commitment to continuous process improvement is required. Key Skills & Competencies Advanced working knowledge of VBA in MS Excel, Macros, MS Access, MS SharePoint,.NET and SQL Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage heavy work load together with tight deadlines Quality of work at very high level - coupled with the ability to prioritize workloads to meet challenging deadlines Ability to think and act strategically Ability to manage numerous competing concurrent activities and integration solutions Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with cross functional teams Sharp analytical abilities, problem solving techniques, proven design skills and trace record of delivery Collaborative approach towards achieving team results Innovative approach towards identifying and implementing process improvement ideas Effective Time Management skills Essential - Minimum 4 years of hands on experience in developing and maintaining Automation Solutions. Exposure to global client and understanding of global work culture Excellent written and spoken communication skills Strong analytical skills, detail orientation and service commitment. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks and meets strict deadlines. Must be prepared to work in a shift in line with regions supported including India night shifts Innovative approach to work and continuously identify and implement process improvements Soft Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with cross functional teams Strong interpersonal, analytical & problem solving skills Collaborative approach towards achieving results Effective time management skills and ability to adhere to deadlines Good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Ability to work independently as well as in a team Desirable - Detailed practical experience in Investment Banking domain. Experience in any other Automation Tools. Primary Responsibilities To develop and maintain EUCs as per the defined standards Suggest and implement proper automation tool. Develop and extend collaborative working relationships with technology suppliers and operational support areas in order to quickly understand requirements, resolve problems/issues, suggest solutions and identify areas for service improvement To carry out adaptive changes necessitated by changes in business requirements and technology. Participate in peer reviews. Track the development progress and be accountable for the tasks. Manage calls with respective operations/stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely execution of the assigned tasks. Work closely with other internal teams on upcoming assignments and initiatives. Qualification & Experience 4-6 years of experience in Automation Solutions.
