**About the Job**

**Responsibilities**:

- Administer and maintain SQL Server databases through development and production environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement and oversee policies and procedures for database security and integrity.
- Manage backups, data recovery, and data migrations to ensure data integrity.
- Address and resolve database performance issues, optimizing systems for reliability and speed.
- Collaborate with IT teams to align database management with organizational goals and assist with system upgrades.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for database related issues.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of database changes and new deployments.
- Replication monitoring and support.
- Work closely with data engineering to design and implement data models that align with business requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of proven experience in database administration, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data management.
- Experience with Replication, database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with data backup, recovery, security, and integrity practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various teams within the organization.

**Nice to Have**:

- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database).
- Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MongoDB).
- Experience with Geo Spatial data and queries
- Experience managing SSRS in a production environment.
