**ABOUT AWEKSHA**:
Aweksha (which means _‘Care’_ in Sanskrit) is a Bengaluru-based women’s trust working on issues of gender-based violence, with a particular emphasis on domestic violence. Our core areas of work include **crisis intervention, burns care, research, advocacy, training, and outreach**.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
This is a **full-time position based in Bengaluru**. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the President of the organisation and other team members to support and lead various programmatic and administrative aspects of Aweksha’s work. The role requires strong coordination, communication, and organisational skills, along with a deep understanding of gender-based violence.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the organisation to ensure smooth execution of projects and activities.
- Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders; actively contribute to lobbying and advocacy efforts on issues of gender-based violence.
- Coordinate, plan, and manage projects with a strong gender perspective.
- Draft and edit official correspondence for meetings with stakeholders and government officials; manage ongoing communication for the organisation.
- Organise and implement various meetings, trainings, and public events related to Aweksha’s work.
- Liaise with donors and partners; serve as the point of contact for all organisational communication and coordination.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Women studies or gender studies.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the development sector
- Proficiency in English and Kannada
- A strong understanding of gender-based violence is essential
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
- Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach
- Excellent writing skills

**REMUNERATION**

**Rs. 5,40,000/- per annum**
