Associate Journalist

**Responsibilities**
- Research assigned topics, gathering relevant information from various sources.
- Write clear, engaging, and accurate articles, features, and news pieces for publication.
- Assist senior journalists in story development, including brainstorming ideas and identifying angles.
- Conduct interviews with sources, experts, and individuals relevant to assigned topics.
- Collaborate with editors and other team members to refine and enhance content.
- Adhere to editorial guidelines, style standards, and deadlines.
- Monitor current events, trends, and developments to identify newsworthy stories.
- Fact-check information and verify sources to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- Assist in managing the publication's social media presence, including content promotion and engagement.
- Pitch original story ideas and contribute to editorial meetings.

**Qualification and Skills Required**
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling stories under tight deadlines.
- Excellent research abilities and attention to detail.
- Passion for storytelling and a commitment to journalistic integrity.
- Previous experience in journalism, writing, or editorial work (preferred).
- Demonstrated interest in current affairs, news media, and digital journalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
