- **Management of Chronic Conditions**: General physicians manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, coordinating care and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- **Health Maintenance**: They perform regular health check-ups, monitor health status, and offer lifestyle advice to maintain and improve patients' long-term health.
- **Referral and Coordination**: General physicians refer patients to specialists when needed and coordinate care between different healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive treatment.
- **Emergency Care**: They provide initial emergency care and stabilize patients in urgent situations, ensuring timely treatment and appropriate follow-up care.
