- Chronic Disease Management: General physicians are responsible for managing chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and arthritis.
- Monitor patients' conditions, adjust medications, and provide necessary referrals to specialists when required.
- Emergency Care: -In hospitals, general physicians are often involved in emergency care.
- They handle urgent cases, stabilize patients, and make initial assessments before referring them to specialized departments or admitting them for further treatment.
- Collaborative Care:

- General physicians collaborate with specialists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary and coordinate care plans for complex cases.
- Health Promotion: Health promotion and education within their communities.
- Professional Ethics: General physicians adhere to the highest standards of medical ethics and maintain patient confidentiality.
