**About Raintree Foundation**:
Raintree Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Raintree Family Office. It leverages catalytic philanthropy to strengthen the development ecosystem and amplify impact. It acts as facilitators and conveners between the government, non-profits, technical experts and the communities it works with through a participatory and structured approach, judiciously combined with multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Raintree approaches its program area in Velhe Block (Pune District, Maharashtra) through an ecosystemic lens, where the resident human population is considered as one component of a larger, complex ecosystem. At the core of Raintree’s work is the belief that environmental prosperity and human development can intersect and lead to community stewardship of ecosystem conservation.

The Sustainable Landscape Management (SLM) program is being implemented in a 2,100 hectare geography spread over 9 villages in Velhe Block near Pune city, Maharashtra. The targeted population is 4,131 people, including 710 families. The SLM Program has three thematic areas:

- Community Development - Water Security, Sustainable Livelihoods, People’s

Participation (institutional strengthening, capacity building of the community on

citizenship awareness), Gender and Social Inclusion
- Environment - Ecological Conservation and Environment Education
- Disability &Mental Health - Mental well
- being of people, gender
- just community and change in norms &; perceptions around gender & masculinity and workplace mental health

**Reports To**: Program Manager : Livelihoods

**Based at**: Pune, Maharashtra

**Description**:
Raintree Foundation is looking to recruit a dynamic professional to support livelihood projects with high level of interest, field expertise, orientation to data, good presentationand research skills. He/She will be responsible for field coordination, documentation, data and mis, report generation of on going programs activities through community and key stakeholder’s participation. He/she will be working closely with Program Manager-Livelihoods on developing strategy and executing field level activities with the on ground team for incubation support, sustainability of the livelihood programs, in the area of farms,non farms and agri allied activities.

**Roles and Responsibilities of the Field Officer
- Livelihood**
- Monitoring the flow of livelihood program as per the planned activities
- Coordinating with on ground team for the field implementation activities and process

documentation of programs at the field level
- Responsible for stakeholder mapping (knowledge partners,product partners,

consultant/trainers and industry experts).
- Mentor and build the capacity of the CRPs while working on livelihood projects in

community for on-ground implementation of activities, new initiatives (pilots) and

projects.
- Design mobilization strategy for identification of potential entrepreneurs on setting

up enterprises as per the nature of initiatives.
- Identify and build market & financial linkages for better returns
- Facilitate and handhold on ground team & entrepreneurs for participations in

exhibitions, weekly market, stalls, job fairs etc
- Strong liasioning skills and maintaining relationships with key government

stakeholders and community
- Work closely with the communications team with write ups and articles for field

related information to be published on social media and quarterly newsletter.

**Reporting to Program Manager**
- Reporting to Program Manager Livelihoods for implementation of livelihood

activities on field.

The above tasks, responsibilities and reporting are decided by the management of the

responsibilities assigned by Head of Programs and Raintree Foundation from time to time as

required for the program.

Workdays: Monday to Friday is the regular office working days at Pune Office. Occasional

visit to field as per the client needs and field team requirements can arise on Saturday.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-5 years work experience in livelihood projects
- Graduate/Master’s in related Disciplines such as Rural Development,

Social Work, rural marketing, agriculture etc.
- Age Preference : 22 to 32 years
- Should have entrepreneurial attitude and be a Self-Starter
- Experience in working with SHGs, women collectives, farmers group and

communities. Experience in handling agriculture based livelihood projects preferred.
- Excellent Communication skills and ability to make Public Presentations effectively
- Expertise in farms/non farms and agri allied based livelihood projects
- Expertise in market analysis and conducting Market promotion and customer

outreach activities at the rural/urban level.
- Good research & presentation skills, Documentation,Data collection & MIS
- Fluency in Marathi language is mandatory (Read, Write and Speak)
- Fluency in English language is desirable (Read and Write)
