**About the Role**:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented **Production Shift Supervisor** to oversee critical plant operations in one of India’s leading chemical manufacturing facilities. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in chemical processing who are ready to take ownership of shift-wise production outcomes. You’ll be working at the frontlines of operations — ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality while managing teams and resolving on-ground challenges in real time.

**Your Responsibilities**:
**Supervise Daily Shift Operations**: Manage all production-related activities during your shift, ensuring timely execution of manufacturing plans.

**Monitor Process Parameters**: Track DCS/SCADA systems and key equipment readings to maintain control over temperature, pressure, and other process variables.

**Team & Workforce Management**: Allocate duties, provide guidance, and monitor performance of plant operators, technicians, and contract staff.

**Quality Assurance**: Maintain product quality by enforcing process discipline, taking in-process samples, and ensuring deviation-free operations.

**Safety Compliance**: Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure proper usage of PPE and safety equipment.

**Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution**: Respond quickly to equipment malfunctions, process anomalies, and other production issues with sound engineering judgment.

**Coordination with Support Functions**: Liaise with maintenance, QA/QC, utility, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth cross-functional support.

**Documentation & Handover**: Maintain accurate production logs, downtime reports, raw material consumption, and ensure seamless shift handovers.

**Process Improvement**: Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities to enhance plant efficiency.

**What You’ll Bring**:
A degree in **Chemical Engineering** from a recognized institution.

**1-6 years of experience** in a chemical, petrochemical, or specialty chemical manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with **batch or continuous process plants**; exposure to DCS or SCADA systems is preferred.

Solid knowledge of industrial safety practices (HAZOP, MSDS, fire safety, LOTO protocols, etc.).

A disciplined, process-oriented mindset with the ability to handle pressure and resolve issues promptly.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage frontline teams effectively.
