**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Conduct Statutory Audits**: Plan, execute, and complete statutory audits in accordance with UK auditing standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- **Financial Analysis**: Review and analyze financial statements to ensure they provide a true and fair view of the company’s financial performance.
- **Risk Assessment**: Identify and assess areas of significant risk and ensure appropriate audit procedures are applied.
- **Compliance and Regulation**: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, standards, and regulations, including the Companies Act 2006.
- **Client Management**: Work closely with clients to understand their business, provide valuable insights, and maintain strong professional relationships.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Prepare detailed audit reports, management letters, and other documentation as required, clearly communicating findings and recommendations.
- **Team Collaboration**: Collaborate with team members and contribute to the development and mentoring of junior staff.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Keep up-to-date with changes in audit regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.

**Key Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Professional Qualifications**: CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification required.
- **Experience**: Proven experience in statutory audit within a professional services firm or similar environment.
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards.
- **Analytical Skills**: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- **Communication**: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- **IT Skills**: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and audit software tools.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
- **Ethical Integrity**: High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
