**Job Summary**: As a Cashier at Junior Kuppanna, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and managing all transactions efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Customer Service**: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Address any questions or concerns they may have regarding their orders or the menu.
- **Cash Handling**: Accurately process transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments. Ensure all transactions are completed with mínimal errors.
- **Order Processing**: Take and confirm customer orders, including special requests. Ensure all orders are entered into the system correctly and promptly.
- **POS System Operation**: Use the point-of-sale (POS) system to handle transactions and manage receipts. Troubleshoot and resolve any POS system issues.
- **Maintain Cleanliness**: Keep the cashier station clean and organized. Follow hygiene and safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist with managing cash drawers, balancing cash and credit receipts, and reporting discrepancies as needed.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Communicate effectively to resolve any issues that arise.
- **Compliance**: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and sanitation.
**Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- **Skills**: Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately. Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- **Attributes**: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- **Availability**: Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
