**Job description for Open Search QE**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and execute test strategies for OpenSearch-based data platforms.
- Validate data ingestion pipelines using AWS Batch and AWS Glue.
- Develop and maintain test cases for OpenSearch queries and indexing logic.
- Use **OpenSearch Dashboards**to monitor, visualize, and validate ingested data.
- Analyze and understand **Java code**to trace data flow and identify potential issues.
- Collaborate with development and data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
- Automate test scenarios and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Document test results, defects, and provide actionable feedback.

**Mandatory Skills**:

- Strong expertise in **OpenSearch**query syntax, filters, aggregations, and performance tuning.
- Experience with **OpenSearch Dashboards**for data visualization and validation.
- Hands-on experience with **AWS Batch**and **AWS Glue**for orchestrating data ingestion.
- Ability to read and understand **Java code**, especially related to data processing and API integrations.
- Proficiency in **Python**, **Java**, or other scripting languages for test automation.
- Familiarity with **REST APIs**, JSON, and schema validation.
- Experience with **CI/CD tools**(e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with **Kibana**or other OpenSearch-compatible visualization tools.
- Knowledge of **AWS CloudWatch**, **S3**, and **IAM**for monitoring and access control.
- Exposure to **ETL workflows**, **data lake architectures**, and **data modeling**.
- Background in **performance testing**and **load testing**tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
- Familiarity with **Agile methodologies**, **JIRA**, and test management tools.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Developer Associate) is a plus.
