**Job Summary**:
The Architectural Drafts person/CAD Technician will be responsible for creating detailed architectural drawings, including GFC (Good for Construction) drawings and architectural details, using user-friendly CAD software. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to produce clear, accurate drawings that adhere to design standards and project specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Drafting and Design**:

- Create and update architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, using CAD software.
- Develop and produce GFC (Good for Construction) drawings that are precise and suitable for use during the construction phase.
- Draft detailed architectural details to illustrate construction methods, materials, and dimensions.
- **Collaboration and Coordination**:

- Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand design requirements and project scope.
- Coordinate with other team members to incorporate structural, mechanical, and electrical components into architectural drawings.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary revisions.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Review and verify drawings to ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
- Perform quality checks on drawings and documents to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
- Implement best practices for drawing standards and accuracy.
- **Architectural Details**:

- Develop detailed drawings that capture specific architectural features, construction techniques, and material specifications.
- Prepare and revise detail drawings based on design changes and feedback from the project team.
- **Documentation and File Management**:

- Maintain organized and up-to-date project files, including drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
- Document design changes and updates systematically throughout the project lifecycle.
- **Technical Expertise and Support**:

- Provide technical support to team members regarding CAD software and drafting practices.
- Stay informed about advancements in CAD technology and architectural drafting techniques.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Associate’s degree or higher in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 3-5 years’ experience in architectural drafting, with a focus on GFC drawings and architectural details.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and an understanding of user-friendly design practices.
- Strong knowledge of architectural terminology, construction methods, and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

**Working Conditions**:

- Office-based environment with occasional site visits as needed.
- Standard working hours, with potential for overtime to meet project deadlines.
- The role involves prolonged periods of computer use and sitting.
