**Job Description - VMC Operator (2D/3D Manufacturing Industries)**

**Position**: VMC Operator
**Department**: Production / Manufacturing
**Reports to**: Production Supervisor / Production Manager

**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate VMC machines (2D & 3D) to manufacture precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM programs, and job orders.
- Load raw material, set tools, and adjust machine parameters as required.
- Perform program editing and offsets to achieve dimensional accuracy.
- Monitor machining processes and ensure components are produced within tolerance.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Report production status, issues, or deviations to the supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with the programming and quality team to optimize machining processes.

**Required Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of **VMC machine operations** in 2D & 3D machining.
- Ability to read and interpret **engineering drawings & GD&T**.
- Hands-on experience in tool setting, offsets, and minor program editing.
- Familiarity with **CNC programming software (Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi or equivalent)** is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and machining cycles.
- Basic understanding of **quality control and inspection methods**.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn advanced machining techniques.

**Qualification & Experience**:

- **Qualification**: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related field.
- **Experience**: 2-5 years of relevant experience in VMC operations (2D/3D manufacturing).
- Freshers with CNC/VMC training certification may also be considered.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
