**EHS EXECUTIVE**
**Location**: Boisar, Maharashtra
**Reporting to**: Plant Head
**Experience Required**: Minimum 8-12 years (preferably in chemical or process industries)
**Job Purpose**:
To lead, develop, and implement Environment, Health & Safety strategies and systems aligned with statutory requirements and best industry practices, ensuring safe operations across the plant with a focus on chemical handling, process safety, and sustainability.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Statutory Compliance & Legal**
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations (Factories Act, GPCB/MPCB norms, OSHA, etc.).
- Liaise with government bodies like Pollution Control Boards, DISH, etc.
- Maintain and update all licenses, permits, and statutory records.
- Conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits related to EHS.
**2. Environment Management**
- Manage waste disposal, air and water emissions as per norms.
- Drive initiatives for reducing effluents, emissions, and environmental footprint.
- Monitor and report environmental KPIs and sustainability metrics.
**3. Occupational Health & Industrial Safety**
- Develop and implement safety policies, SOPs, and risk assessments (JSA/HAZOP/HAZAN).
- Identify and control hazards associated with chemical storage, transportation, and usage.
- Ensure the availability and use of PPE and safety equipment.
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement CAPA.
- Organize mock drills, safety weeks, and toolbox talks.
**4. Training & Development**
- Conduct EHS training and awareness programs for all levels of employees and contractors.
- Develop safety culture through behavior-based safety (BBS) and employee engagement.
**5. Emergency Preparedness**
- Maintain updated on-site and off-site emergency plans.
- Organize emergency response teams and mock drills in line with chemical safety protocols.
**Key Skills & Competencies**:
- In-depth knowledge of safety standards in chemical industries
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis
- ETP, STP, Hazardous Waste Management knowledge
- Regulatory liaison and audit management
- Proficiency in MS Office, EHS MIS, and ERP systems
- Certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, or ADIS preferred
**Educational Qualifications**:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry / Environmental Science or B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical/Environmental Engineering
- Diploma in Industrial Safety (mandatory)
- Additional certifications in Environment Management will be an advantage
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
