**About the Role**

We’re looking for a **Senior Software Engineer (SDE III)** with strong expertise in **Node.js**, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture. You’ll design and build scalable backend services that power mission-critical integrations, leveraging **Kafka**, **Docker**, and **Kubernetes** to ensure reliability, performance, and observability at scale.

**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Architect, build, and maintain** large-scale backend systems using **Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript)**.
- ** Design and implement microservices** deployed via **Docker** and orchestrated on **Kubernetes (GKE/EKS)**.
- Develop **asynchronous, event-driven systems** using **Apache Kafka** for data streaming and inter-service communication.
- Work on **scalable APIs**, **webhooks**, and **data synchronization** across multiple third-party platforms.
- ** Mentor engineers**, conduct design and code reviews, and establish best practices for maintainable and secure services.
- Collaborate closely with **product, devops, and platform teams** to drive technical roadmaps and deliver high-impact features.
- Monitor system health, optimize performance, and participate in **incident response and root-cause analysis**.

**Technical Skills**
- ** Backend**: Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, Express.js/NestJS.
- ** Frontend**: React.js, HTML, CSS.
- ** Containers & Cloud**: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GCP/AWS.
- ** Messaging & Data Pipelines**: Apache Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ (bonus).
- ** Storage**: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse (bonus).
- ** CI/CD**: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or equivalent pipelines.
- ** Monitoring**: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry.
- ** Version control**: Git (GitHub/GitLab).

**Qualifications**
- 5-8 years of professional experience building backend systems at scale.
- Deep understanding of **system design, scalability, fault tolerance, and distributed systems**.
- Experience building **high-availability microservices** and deploying on container orchestration platforms.
- Prior experience mentoring engineers and driving **technical excellence**.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.

**Nice to Have**
- Exposure to **Temporal.io**, **gRPC**, or **Event Sourcing architectures**.
- Experience with **multi-tenant SaaS platforms** or **integration platforms (iPaaS)**.
- Familiarity with **ClickHouse** or **real-time analytics systems**.
