**JOB PURPOSE**: Provides supply network solutions expertise, using Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to deliver maximum value.

**JOB RELATED STATISTICS**: Attributes will typically fall into the following levels:

Process Difficulty: Moderately complex to simple
Spend: Generally up to $50 million

**Description**
- Responsible for commercial discussions/negotiations with suppliers for his or her assigned portion of the global category
- Supports development and execution of global category strategies
- Drives performance excellence in Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) through direct leverage with the supply base partnering with Supplier Development Engineers and Product/Facility Procurement organizations.
- Key responsibilities include Supplier Relationship & Performance Mgmt., Cost Mgmt., Risk/Compliance Mgmt., and Category Network Mgmt.
- Key deliverables include year-on-year material cost reduction, localization, long term supplier capacity, contracts/agreements coverage, on-time delivery of NPI program commitments, shipping performance for production & service parts etc.,

**Basic Qualifications**
- 8-10 years of years of progressively responsible job-related experience in purchasing, manufacturing, and/or engineering
- The position requires an undergraduate degree in Engineering (B.E / B.Tech) from a reputed college or university
- Professional certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management preferred, e.g Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.)
- Certified in Production and Inventory management (CPIM)
- Certified in Integration Resource Management (CIRM), or comparable international certification
- Previous experience in Category Procurement with major OEMs
- Automotive tier-1 with exposure to Electrical, Engines, Powertrain or Hydraulics categories
- Proven record of Cost Management, Negotiation, Contracts implementation and Project Management.

**Additional Information**
- Primary Location: Thiruvallur, TamilNadu, India
- Travel upto 25% of the work time.
