**Position**:Food Technologist - R&D / QA
- Knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and food processing techniques.

**Knowledge of developing and improving food products, ensuring their safety and quality, and providing technical support in various aspects of food production. This role combines scientific knowledge with practical culinary skills to create safe, innovative, and commercially viable food products.**
**Product Development**:
- Research, design, and develop new food products.
- Modify existing recipes to improve taste, texture, and nutritional value.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and taste tests.
**Quality Assurance**:
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Perform shelf-life studies and stability testing.
**Ingredient Sourcing and Evaluation**:
- Source and evaluate raw materials and ingredients.
- Work with suppliers to ensure the quality and consistency of ingredients.
**Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, formulations, and test results.
- Prepare reports on research findings and product development progress.
**Regulatory Compliance**:
- Stay up-to-date with food safety regulations and ensure products meet legal requirements.
- Assist in securing necessary permits and approvals.

**Responsibilities**
- Check raw ingredients for maturity or stability for processing, and finished products for safety, quality and nutritional value. Develop food standards and production specifications, safety and sanitary regulations, and waste management and water supply specifications.
- Develop new or improved ways of preserving, processing, packaging, storing, and delivering foods, using knowledge of chemistry, microbiology, and other sciences. Search for substitutes for harmful or undesirable additives, such as nitrites.
- Study methods to improve aspects of foods such as chemical composition, flavour, colour, texture, nutritional value, and convenience.
- Study the structure and composition of food, or the changes foods undergo in storage and processing. Test new products for flavour, texture, colour, nutritional content, and adherence to government and industry standards. Confer with process engineers, plant operators, flavour experts, and packaging and marketing specialists in order to resolve problems in product development.
- Evaluate food processing and storage operations, and assist in the development of quality assurance programs for such operations.
- Inspect food processing areas in order to ensure compliance with government regulations and standards for sanitation, safety, quality, and waste management standards.
**Qualifications**
- Graduate / Post Graduate in Food Engineering / Food Technology
- Good communication skills
- Ability to analyse information to formulate solutions.
- With a determined, pragmatic, straightforward, detail-oriented mind-set, you are also organized. You are responsive and autonomous, skills which will allow you to succeed in this position.
- You are resourceful and have excellent interpersonal skills, in order to be able to work well with the local team to liaise successfully with suppliers.
**Salary**: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per month
