Cradlepoint is looking for a Lab Administrator to join the India team, responsible for the design, implementation, coordination, and management of the IT infrastructure, telecommunications, and security for the Cradlepoint India location.

**What Will You Do?**
- Day-to-day operations associated with operating and maintaining an R&D lab environment of servers, networks, and topologies
- Install, provision, and provide initial configuration of resources supporting the engineering lab function, such as routers, switches, servers, power distribution, and cabling. Administer and maintain deployed lab resources. Assist in the relocation, storage, or decommissioning of resources
- Partner closely with peers and lab users to troubleshoot or resolve issues. Participate with principals and managers on projects and initiatives, as needed. Develop and maintain rapport with labs’ other service providers in support of lab user success
- Be a principal in the evolution of the lab infrastructure. Contribute to advanced lab service capabilities
- Facilitate the resolution of request tickets submitted by the engineering team. Assure achievement of GLO service level agreements
- Coach other members of the support team, sharing technical and customer knowledge in a helpful and timely fashion
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure
- Primary support of onsite and offsite network hardware, circuits, etc.
- Work with all departments to continuously design and implement network change requests
- Monitor, plan, and update IT systems with the latest patches
- Provide Tier II tech support for the Cradlepoint Corporate Help Desk
- Monitor system logs and services to ensure system performance and availability
- Work closely with our Help Desk staff and other organizations to troubleshoot infrastructure and network issues
- Assist with support of onsite and offsite physical and virtual servers
- Occasional user support and availability after normal business hours will be necessary as required
- Work with vendors to research and identify solutions for infrastructure improvements and maintenance
- Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks
- Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP
- Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation
- Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
- Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Report network status to key stakeholders using dashboards, presentations, etc.
- Performe disaster recovery operations and data backup restorations
- Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures

Qualifications:

- At least ten (10) years of experience, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Strong understanding of networking infrastructure and network hardware, concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, sub-netting, etc.), and protocols
- Strong experience with remote access technologies (VPN, terminal services, etc.) and Virtual Private Network Solutions (e.g. IPSec, GRE, TLS, DMVPN)
- Experience with server architecture and hardware (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco)
- Practiced experience in a VMware infrastructure environment (ESXi, vCenter)
- Experience administering Linux or other Unix (BSD) systems; virtualization (KVM, libvert); containers (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with networked services (DNS, NTP, PXE, DHCP, NFS)
- Useful experience administering and troubleshooting Windows servers and services in an engineering environment
- Working experience with L1, L2, and L3 networking and related technologies. Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of more than one of the following elements: routers, switches, and firewalls. Experience with optical fiber, distribution, and cable management systems
- Have the ability to read, write, and debug automation (sh, bash, powershell, python) and/or configuration management vehicles (Ansible)
