Internship - Credit Analytics

**THE INTERNSHIP - Credit Analytics Team (Bangalore, India)**

The internship will require an implementation of in-house projects involving model building on MPOWER data systems for credit risk management. Each intern will be responsible for leading an individual project which will be presented to the Executive team at the end of the summer and will receive mentorship from a Credit leader.

We are looking for interns who can think creatively and analytically, embrace ambiguity, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and have a solution-focused mindset driven by making an impact.

**THE ROLE**
- Creating MIS reports and analyses covering key metrics, concentrations, and stratifications of the loan portfolio
- Performing exploratory data analyses on specific business segments to develop risk management recommendations
- Reviewing performance of borrower support programs to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to implement process enhancements
- Preparing industry analyses to identify broader trends that affect MPOWER’s loan portfolio

**THE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Data Science.
- Experience or Interest in R, Python, or any coding language.
- Data programming and modelling skills required.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.

A passion for financial inclusion and access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple-time zones and sites

In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast growth environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload and tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, and 80-20 everything.
