Medical Records Technician

**Major Accountabilities**:

- To carry out technical analysis and evaluation of medical records in accordance with hospital standards.
- To collect medical, administrative and other statistics required by the hospital and to provide health information for planning and evaluation of healthcare.
- To provide medical record services inpatients and emergency department filing and retrieving systems,
- To evaluate documentation for deficiencies in the outpatient and inpatient medical files and to arranging for completion of records with the cooperation of medical and nursing staff.
- To feed patient care information into the computer for processing, storage, and retrieval when required.
- To assist medical education and medical research programs by providing required information.
- To cooperate with all departments related to medical record services in order to obtain acceptable records for providing efficient services.
- To protect medical records especially MLC from unauthorized disclosure so as to maintain confidentiality.
- To assist the medical staff and their committees in the hospital in executing the quality assurance program.
- To supervise one or more medical record units and to assist in departmental education and administrative systems.
- To observe medical ethics as recommended for medical record professionals.
- To perform any other work related to medical records as instructed by his or her direct or immediate chief.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
