We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, along with a strong background in data engineering. As an SRE, you will not only be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our cloud infrastructure, but also for leading and guiding the team technically. This is a key leadership role where you’ll handle complex tasks, mentor the team, and develop strategies to overcome operational challenges.
Tasks
- Technical Leadership: Work closely with the team to provide technical guidance and mentorship, while leading by example with hands-on contributions.
- Complex Problem Solving: Take ownership of the most complex tasks and workstreams, driving solutions from conception to implementation.
- Team Coordination: Regularly follow up with team members to ensure tasks are on track, resolve blockers, and facilitate smooth workflow.
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain highly reliable and scalable cloud environments on GCP and Azure.
- Strategy Development: Proactively identify potential challenges and devise strategies to solve them, focusing on optimizing performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitoring & Incident Resolution: Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems, lead incident response efforts, and perform root cause analysis for production issues.
- Data Pipeline Management: Collaborate with data teams to optimize and manage large-scale data pipelines, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Automation & CI/CD: Develop automation scripts and implement CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure follows security best practices and adheres to compliance requirements.

**Requirements**:

- 6+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a related technical role.
- Expertise in GCP and Azure, with in-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, services, and best practices.Strong data engineering background: hands-on experience with data pipelines, databases, and big data technologies.Proven experience in leading technical teams, with the ability to mentor and motivate.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, with a proven ability to create strategies for complex technical challenges.
- Proficiency in automation (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- CI/CD expertise, including the design and implementation of automated pipelines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive cross-team collaboration.
