Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

Experience Level: 8+ Years

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our production systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, automation, and infrastructure as code, along with a strong understanding of ITIL best practices, observability, and incident management. This role involves leading production releases, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating across teams to deliver resilient and high-performing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reliability, availability, and performance across production systems and environments.
  • Lead and execute production releases using AWS and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 3 production support issues; participate in on-call rotations.
  • Maintain and validate production and non-production environments ensuring compliance and stability.
  • Develop automation scripts to eliminate repetitive tasks and enhance system resilience.
  • Build proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using tools like AppDynamics, Sumologic, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective measures.
  • Adhere to ITIL best practices, managing incidents, problems, and changes effectively.
  • Ensure successful data exchanges and integrations across platforms.
  • Manage and process change requests through Jira Service Management, maintaining governance and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployments.
  • Drive continuous improvements in observability, tooling, and incident response processes.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) and optimize CI/CD pipelines for scalability and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in IT operations, with a strong focus on Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
  • Expertise in monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Sumologic, AppDynamics).
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong foundation in networking, security, and database management.
  • Experience integrating and managing APIs and file exchange interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in .NET, SQL, IIS, and SSIS environments.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and incident management processes.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in FinTech or Payments domain.
  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with digital certificates and secure communication protocols.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
