We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Academic Facilitator to play a central role in shaping the academic experiences at the Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh. This role involves a multifaceted approach, encompassing course facilitation, curriculum design, academic research, collaboration, and event management. As an Academic Facilitator, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to our mission of transformative education.

**Responsibilities**:

- Course Facilitation:_
- Lead and facilitate courses, ensuring a unique and experiential learning environment.
- Foster interactive and engaging classroom experiences to inspire active participation and critical thinking.
- Provide mentorship and support to students throughout their academic journey.
- Academic Research:_
- Engage in scholarly research relevant to the field of sustainable development, cultural preservation, or related areas.
- Contribute to academic publications and share research findings with the community.
- Curriculum Design:_
- Collaborate with academic teams to develop innovative and holistic curriculum plans.
- Ensure alignment with the institution's mission and objectives.
- Continuously improve and adapt curriculum based on feedback and changing needs.
- Collaboration and Partnership:_
- Establish and nurture collaborations with similar institutes and organizations.
- Negotiate and sign Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to facilitate knowledge exchange and joint initiatives.
- Admissions and Student Engagement:_
- Handle admissions processes, including interviewing prospective students.

- Interdisciplinary Collaboration:_
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to design interdisciplinary courses and curricula.
- Promote a holistic and integrated approach to education.
- Conferences and Workshops:_
- Organize and execute academic conferences, workshops, and seminars.
- Engage with experts and thought leaders to enhance the academic discourse within the institute.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field
- Proven experience in facilitating experiential and transformative learning experiences.
- Strong research and academic writing skills.
- Innovative mindset with a passion for curriculum design and development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Event management experience is a plus.
- Prior experience in admissions and student engagement preferred.
