Position Purpose:
Coordinate and harmonise the API sourcing strategy during the development phase of finished dosage forms by SGD and own governance together with the Global API LT the API strategy within all affected functions, especially Platforms, Portfolio, ESO incl. purchasing organisation. Manage API sourcing risk mitigation for launches and ensure Life Cycle Management strategy planning for all projects. Ensures global governance of APIs and budget for all in-house Sandoz Development projects. Lead strategic sourcing activities for complex API projects (eg peptides)

Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Work closely with sourcing teams at the Sandoz Development Centres and with global functions (SGD, Platforms, Launch management, ESO and Procurement) on API strategy and governance to ensure API supply for project selection, development, registration and launch.
- For all APIs in SDG development ensure governance on aligned life-cycle sourcing plans from enabling NCE-1 filing to launch requirements and commercial LCM concept.
- Governance of Sandoz agreed ESO / SGD API Sourcing Supplier Sourcing Strategy.
- Lead the handover-process from development sourcing to the STO (ESO/Procurement) organization.
- Governance of Gx API development budget.
- Ext
- Partnership API team member for complex APIs for SGD IH projects like Peptides.
- SGD SPOC/SRM for defined API suppliers for IH projects.

What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:

- Degree in Management and/ or Chemistry, Pharmacy or other science degree with min 2+ years professional experience in pharmaceutical/ generics industry in Manufacturing, Business Development, NCE Development or Sourcing
- Experience in project / program management, added experience in strategic sourcing of APIs.
- Strong understanding of Intellectual Property in generics industry. strong understanding of chemical synthesis, analytics. Preferred experience in supplier selection, pharmaceutical development and/or cost structure analysis.
- Knowledge of global Gx API market trends and key suppliers in India, China and EU.
- Excellent communication skills in an international environment, strong negotiation skills
