Job Description: Computer Operator

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Computer Operations**:

- Operate and monitor office computer systems, ensuring they function effectively throughout the day.
- Assist in maintaining the network systems and troubleshoot basic issues related to hardware, software, and printers.
- **Typing & Data Entry**:

- Accurately type notes, documents, reports, assignments, and other materials as required by faculty or administrative staff.
- Input and maintain student data, exam results, attendance, and other academic records into the institute’s database or spreadsheets.
- Prepare and format official documents, presentations, and letters as directed.
- **Document Management**:

- Assist in organizing and scanning hard copy documents for digital storage.
- Create and maintain electronic filing systems, ensuring easy retrieval of student records and other important documents.
- **Technical Support**:

- Provide basic technical support to students and staff, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
- Assist in setting up computers, projectors, and other electronic devices for classes and meetings.
- **Software & System Maintenance**:

- Ensure that all systems, including computers and office software, are updated with the latest patches and antivirus definitions.
- Help maintain the smooth functioning of educational software used by faculty and students.
- **Coordination & Communication**:

- Assist in communicating technical information to non-technical staff in a clear and efficient manner.
- Liaise with administrative staff and faculty to manage computer-related tasks and ensure timely execution.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (further qualifications in IT or computer-related fields are a plus).
- Certification in Computer Applications or Typing would be advantageous.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and typing software.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and troubleshooting common technical issues.
- **Typing Speed & Accuracy**:

- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum typing speed of 40-50 words per minute).
- Ability to format documents according to specified guidelines.
- **Attention to Detail**:

- Strong attention to detail in typing, data entry, and document management.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while handling student data and administrative records.
- **Communication Skills**:

- Good communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with students, staff, and faculty.
- Ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
- **Organization & Time Management**:

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience working in a coaching institute or educational environment.
- Knowledge of database management and office automation tools.
- Basic understanding of educational software or Learning Management Systems (LMS).

**Working Conditions**:

- **Full-time position** with regular working hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM).
- The role will require the individual to work in an office environment, seated for extended periods, with occasional lifting of office equipment (such as printers or documents).

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
